J is for Jay
Blue Jays are the most common of the jays, at least here in Ontario. Their striking colouration makes them very attractive birds and they are quite tolerant of humans, so they are readily seen and photographed.
Note, I missed yesterday's post. I cannot get into the reason for that yet, but I will at some point.
Greetings from Australia - I have only read of blue jays - your bird is very elegant.

Thank you Anne. They are very attractive birds and fairly tolerant of people. They are a very common site here. I love their little crests. They are like the punk rockers of the bird world...in more ways than one!
DeleteIt's tough but I'm glad you are back here. The Jay is a fav of mine...I wonder why?? Maybe the colour of blue:)
ReplyDeleteThank yo Birgit. I'm trying to keep posting. Thank you for your encouragement.
DeleteI just with they weren't such bullies with the smaller birds.

They really can be, as they're a good deal bigger than most songbirds. They can be quite cheeky!
