Sunset at Long Sault, Ontario 

 Long Sault, St. Lawrence Seaway park is justifiably famous for its sunsets.  This is an unedited, straight of of camera JPEG image, from September 6th, 2011. The rich colours match what I was seeing with my own eyes.  It was a magic moment!

    That is stunning! Good to meet you Jeff - on Birgit’s recommendation. She and I go back a long way, we met in blog-land over 10 years ago and in real life just the once when we visited Toronto. I’m on Wordpress though, not Blogger.

Alley in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada The lights in this alleyway, really liven up this little alley!  Walking and photographing at night is always such a different experience from taking images during the day.  Black and white really suits street photography.

  A-Z Challenge 2025 B is for Bear!  I was in Algonquin Provincial Park in September, 2014 when we were treated to two female black bears, each with two cubs.  They were in a blueberry patch and stocking up for Winter. One of the adults was chill and used to people, but this young mother was raising her first two cubs and she was a good deal more..."nervous".  It did result in some spectacular poses though, although this "stare down" moment was a trifle unnerving!  Note, I am no where NEAR the bear.  This is taken with a powerful telephoto lens and also cropped! The cubs were adorably cute!
