My fondness for capturing birds
Baltimore Oriole
is probably the most defining aspect of my photography.  It connects me to my late mother, who loved songbirds. She enjoyed looking out the window at her feeder, with her beloved (and much worn) bird guide in her hand.
In one way, it's sad that I never got to share my photos with her, as I came to photography late in my life. Yet it connects me to her in a profound and special way.

  1. Mom would love your pictures especially the birds. I could see her just move her legs in excitement if you would have been able to give her a calendar of your photos. Mom..and dad are loving these photos.

  2. Thank you Birgit. It's an important way of still connecting to her.
