Alley in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada |
I had a great night last night at Lundy Manor Wineries, attending a Mystery Night, with my niece Tammy and her husband Kevin, Tammy's daughter, my great-niece Paige, and Tammy's friend Hilary. Lots of fun and I met some great people. I was "Mayor Gibson", the mayor of a 20's style town, with mobsters, prize fighters, singers and starlets. It was extremely entertaining and I got right into character, and won the "best actor" of the night award. LOL
I love this little alley and glad they make this look neat or neato as I used to say when I was a kid. Now I am going to share your blog on Facebook plus I am going to make a blog post of my own showing your blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you Birgit!
DeleteGood to see you set up shop here, Jeff! I'm very familiar with this alley in the downtown core and have taken photos of it myself.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a unique alley, being short and wide and its relatively heavily trafficked, for an alley. The other alley that leads from James St. to Garden Park is closer to St. Paul St. and it has a very different character, being much longer, which makes it look narrow. It's used extensively for parking during the day, but at night it takes on an almost creepy look - but that makes for an interesting photo in its own right.
DeleteOh here is the blog for the Insecure Writers Support Group https://www.insecurewriterssupportgroup.com/?m=1 and the a to z challenge where I found a few blogs I love today http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2025/03/theme-reveal-atozchallenge2025.html?m=1
ReplyDeleteThank you, I will check it out!
DeleteJeff,
ReplyDeleteI'm a good friend of Birgit's and just read of your plight with social media. How sad! Anywho, welcome to Blogosphere. I think you'll find a wonderful gathering of like-minded people on this arena. Although, I'm not doing it this year, you may want to check out the annual A to Z Challenge that begins next month. I haven't done it in a few years. I know Birgit has participated in years past. This is a great way to build a new base of friends.
I love that you captured the alley as a black and white image. It feels more dramatic. Nicely done!
Best of luck to you!
Thank you so much! The Facebook thing has been quite the loss for me, after 18 years. I still don't know "why" and probably never will, but I'm looking forward to making new connections on here!
DeleteI'm glad you like the black and white. I like black and white for street photography, as it captures a unique look and feel.
So nice to meet you!
That really is a nice photo. Welcome to the blogosphere, Jeff.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra! I'm delighted to meet you!
